UPDATED 4-5-22: Science Hill Class of 2022 to graduate on Saturday, May 28

Class of 2022 Graduation

The Science Hill High School Class of 2022 will graduate on Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. If weather permits, the ceremony will be held inside Kermit Tipton Stadium and will not be a ticketed event.

If rain is in the forecast, the event will move to Freedom Hall on the same date and time. A final decision about the location, based on weather, will be made on Wednesday, May 25, by 3 p.m.

 

UPDATED ON APRIL 5, 2022

  • In case of inclement weather, our rain venue will be Freedom Hall. Each student will receive nine (9) tickets for guests at graduation practice. Tickets will only be required for entry if inclement weather moves the ceremony to Freedom Hall.

 

  • Graduation practice is required and will begin promptly at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 27 at Kermit Tipton Stadium. Please allow 1.5 hours to complete practice and review information. It is imperative that seniors be on time.

 

  • For the ceremony, seniors should arrive at the new gym by 9 a.m. Seniors will pick up their name card in the new gym and line up outside at the practice field for the processional. Seniors with last names beginning with A-K will line up on the right side of the practice field. Seniors with last names beginning L-Z will line up on the left side of the practice field.

 

  • All guests should arrive and be seated in the stadium by 9:30 a.m.

 

  • The proper attire for graduation is a Science Hill Custom Cap & Gown purchased from Jostens, and business casual. It is requested that gentlemen wear shirts with collars, ties, dark or khaki paint, dark shoes and socks. Ladies are requested to wear a dress or slacks and a shirt with dress shoes. Please choose your shoes wisely as you will be walking from the gym to the stadium.

 

  • Decorations or messages on caps will be permitted but must adhere to our policy regarding content.'

 

  • Handicap seating is available on the upper-level entrance on the home side. Handicap parking is available in the Guaranda Drive Parking lot on the home side. A deaf interpreter will be available in front of section F on the home side for the hearing impaired.

 

  • Live streaming of this event will be available for family and friends who are unable to attend the ceremony. The link for the live stream will be available at www.jcschools.org the morning of the event.
