Recent Articles about Transition
Johnson City Schools will transition to two 6-8 middle schools beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. This will also mean that 5th-grade students transition back to the elementary school for which they are zoned.
The breakdown is as follows:
Elementary Schools that will feed into Liberty Bell Middle School:
Cherokee, North Side, South Side, Towne Acres, Woodland
Elementary Schools that will feed into Indian Trail Middle School:
Fairmont, Lake Ridge, and Mountain View
During their August 26, 2019 meeting, the Johnson City Board of Education approved the concept plan to pursue the transition to two 6-8 middle schools in Johnson City. Contact Todd Barnett at BarnettM@jcschools.org.
